Listen to English Articles in Spanish — As a Podcast
You follow great writers in English. You understand written English fine, but listening in your native language is easier — especially during a commute or while cooking.
Or maybe you follow Spanish-language publications but want to listen in English.
Either way: save in one language, listen in another.
How It Works
audiclip lets you save articles in any language. When your daily podcast is generated, two AI hosts discuss the content in your preferred language. It’s not machine-translated text read aloud — it’s a natural conversation about the ideas in the article, in the language you think in.
- Save an article in English (or French, German, Japanese — any of 100+ supported languages)
- Set your preferred listening language to Spanish
- Each morning, your podcast covers those articles — in Spanish
Why This Matters
The internet’s best content is unevenly distributed across languages:
- Tech and startup content is overwhelmingly in English
- Academic research publishes primarily in English
- Business analysis (Stratechery, Not Boring, etc.) is English-only
If Spanish is your first language, you’ve had two options: read in English (slower, more effort) or wait for translations that may never come.
Now there’s a third: listen in Spanish while the AI handles the translation.
It’s Not Translation — It’s Discussion
The difference between Google Translate reading an article aloud and what audiclip does:
- Google Translate: Translates word-for-word, reads in a flat voice. Technical terms get mangled. Context is lost.
- audiclip: Two hosts discuss the article’s ideas in Spanish. They use natural phrasing, explain concepts in context, and focus on what matters — not a literal translation, but a conversation about the same ideas.
The second host asks questions: “¿Y por qué es importante esto?” — the same questions you’d have.
Key Spanish-Language Publications
Save articles from these sources — or from any English publication — and listen in your language:
- El País — Spain’s leading newspaper
- Infobae — Argentina’s most-read digital news
- Expansión — Spanish-language business and finance
- MIT Technology Review en Español — Tech analysis in Spanish
- Xataka — Tech, science, and culture
The Spanish-Speaking Tech Community
Latin America has more than 40 unicorn startups. Founders in CDMX, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and Santiago follow English-language playbooks from Y Combinator and Sequoia — but thinking through strategy in Spanish is faster and more natural. Save the English playbook, hear it discussed in Spanish.
660 million Spanish speakers worldwide — the second-largest native speaker population after Mandarin.
